your marriage license during regular business hours. Some say the recent
decision to limit the hours that licenses will be issued in Clark county, was
financial, and others insist its a "down time" for impulsive folks to
rethink their sappy spontaneity. Regardless of why, it has many concerned about
their possible, future and impromptu plans. With just a little basic
information, you can enjoy your special day (or night). Everything you need to

This change affects only marriage licenses, not ceremonies.
There are literally tons of chapels and at least one drive thru that can
provide ceremonies round the clock.
The Las Vegas marriage license bureau is open from 8am to 12
midnight, including holidays.
The office of civil marriages (civil ceremonies only) is
open from 8am to 10pm daily, including weekends and holidays.
All licenses are valid for one year in the state of Nevada
only.
Its going to cost $55.00, cash only and exact change
appreciated.
Licenses will be issued to a male and female only, with no
closer relationship than second cousins.
If the bride or groom has ever been divorced, they need to
know the exact date and location the decree was issued.
It is required to provide proof of being over 18 years old.
Acceptable identifications are:
valid drivers license
certified birth certificate
foreign birth certificate - translated and notarized
passport
military identification
resident alien card
All US citizens must provide their social security number on
the application.
Non US immigrants should check with their local offices.
Other documents may be required for the union to be recognized in that
country.
There is no waiting period after a license is issued and no
blood test is required in Nevada!
